Bridging Past and Present: The Role of Emotion in Modern Cinema and Music

When we talk about music and movies, many of us often refer to examples from the 80s and 90s, not just in India but also in Hollywood. Even though we’ve come a long way technologically, why do we still use old movies and songs as references? Is it necessary to learn from the past to make movies today? Even the younger generation enjoys 80s and 90s movies and songs. So, why do we talk about them as if they’re not relevant anymore?

This raises an important question: what are we missing in today’s times? The answer is emotions. Human emotions haven’t changed, even with all the technology and software advancements. We’ve learned to work with technology, but we seem to have left behind the deep emotions and feelings that make us human.

It’s true that we need to embrace new technology, but we shouldn’t forget our emotions and feelings while doing so. Instead of always giving examples from the past to the next generation, we should show them how to use new technology while keeping the heart and soul of our emotions intact.

This way, in the next 50 years, people will remember us not just for our technological advancements but also for our ability to connect emotionally. It’s about blending the best of both worlds – using new technology while cherishing the timeless emotions that define us as humans.
